Description
On 26 January 1950 India became a republic, and the year’s commemorative issue was a set of four stamps for the inauguration of the Republic. This year pack is that set of four, MNH.
As the title says, the stamps have brown gum. That is common for Indian stamps of this period, which have spent decades in a humid climate. The fronts are what you see in the photos.
